Who We Are
Kind Hand International (KHI) is a humanitarian nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the poorest of the poor, with a special focus on orphans and vulnerable children, the elderly, and marginalized communities.
We exist to restore dignity, protect human rights, and improve quality of life by addressing critical needs such as education, healthcare, child protection, social support, and environmental sustainability.
Our work is grounded in compassion, integrity, and accountability. We believe lasting change happens when communities are empowered to shape their own futures.
Our Journey
Kind Hand International began in the year 2000 as a small, informal community initiative driven by compassion and a desire to help families who had been forgotten by society.
What started as simple acts of support—providing food, care, and guidance—grew as we witnessed the realities of extreme poverty, child neglect, lack of education, poor healthcare, and social injustice.
In 2023, this journey culminated in the formal registration of Kind Hand International as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in the United States, while continuing and expanding structured programs in Uganda.
